Sunya Folayan
Hi, I'm Sunya Folayan.
Welcome to my studio.
Copper/Cotton/Cowrie Studios is where creativity happens! I designed my space to be a safe and intimate space to reflect, renew, and refocus on what's important. On occasion, I take my creative studio on the road to work within communities. Keep going to learn a little bit more about me. You can also reach out below.

About Me
Have you ever wanted to get off life's treadmill and follow the path your heart leads you to? Well, that's what I did in 2003. I went out on a limb, and followed my heart as an artist. I built upon my solid foundation as a social worker and marital and family therapist to use the arts as a catalyst for self-care, social justice work, education, and change. I can show you how to reclaim some of your time, passion and creativity, too!

Many creatives wear multiple hats. I'm a social entrepreneur: A commissioned teaching artist in textiles and West African drumming; social worker, financial activist, and published author. I realize the arts are a critical tool in the development of critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

I've posted below some of my current projects.

Perhaps we can work together!
